Few topics generate as much private anxiety and public discord as money. We obsess over what we earn, fear discussing our finances openly, and often find ourselves torn between material desires and deeper values. Our relationship with money reflects our most profound hopes and deepest insecurities, yet we rarely examine this relationship with the psychological curiosity it deserves.
The School of Life invites you to an evening dedicated to exploring our complex emotional connections to wealth, consumption, and economic systems. "Let's Talk About Money" moves beyond simplistic critiques or celebrations of capitalism to examine how our psychological needs shape—and are shaped by—the economic structures we inhabit.
Throughout this thought-provoking session, we'll consider questions that rarely surface in conventional financial discussions: How do our childhood experiences inform our attitudes toward spending and saving?
